The Week 3 Sunday slate of NFL games didn't have an overwhelming amount of fantasy-relevant injuries, but there were a few impactful players who were banged up. With leagues of all shapes and sizes, all four players on this list will affect fantasy lineups moving forward in some capacity. Our fantasy football injuries report highlights the banged-up players with fantasy significance and their early status heading into Week 4 as of Monday, September 25, 2023. This article focuses only on players who suffered injuries on Sunday of Week 3 games.
Derek Carr, Mike Williams, Gus Edwards, and Rashod Bateman picked up injuries in Week 3. It's too early to draw conclusions about Week 4 since these players just picked up ailments, but it's never too early to at least take a look at the group of key guys to prepare for waiver wire Wednesday or Thursday.

Derek Carr Injury Update
According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr (shoulder) avoided a "season-ending scenario" after exiting Sunday's game against the Packers. The veteran underwent a "multitude of tests" at a medical facility, revealing no additional damage. However, Carr should miss some time with what is believed to be an AC joint sprain, although his return to the field will be determined by "the swelling and how he gains mobility."
As a result, Jameis Winston will likely take over under center. Yet, his presence could negatively impact the fantasy outlooks of Chris Olave, Michael Thomas, and Rashid Shaheed, among others, until Carr returns.
Mike Williams Injury Update
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams (knee) may have a serious, potentially season-ending knee injury. Deep into the third quarter, the seventh-year veteran went down clutching his left knee. When he was able to get up off of the field, Williams was unable to put weight on that knee.
If an MRI confirms what is feared and Williams is placed on injured reserve, rookie first-round pick Quentin Johnston and third-year receiver Joshua Palmer will step into more playing time. Williams was off to a strong start this season, averaging 83 yards per game on 19 total receptions.
Gus Edwards Injury Update
Baltimore Ravens running back Gus Edwards (head) is being evaluated for a concussion. The 28-year-old had picked up a solid 51 yards on 11 carries before exiting the Week 3 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
Justice Hill (toe) was inactive in Week 3, so Melvin Gordon III could find himself as a lead back in Week 4 if Edwards and Hill can't return to action.
Rashod Bateman Injury Update
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman (hamstring) had just one catch (three targets) for six yards during the narrow loss to Indianapolis on Sunday. The 23-year-old has struggled in 2023-24, amassing six grabs for 53 yards. But he tweaked his hamstring versus the Colts, which may explain his lack of production.
At this point, there's a chance Bateman won't be available for the AFC showdown against the Browns in Week 4. If that's the case, Nelson Agholor and Isaiah Likely could see more looks from Lamar Jackson. However, neither man should produce enough to be relevant in any fantasy format.
