For once, it was a quiet week of fantasy football-relevant injuries in Week 16. That said, each player featured in this article has at least some fantasy football significance, as there are more deep leagues and tight end premium leagues than ever. We have the latest news on banged-up players with fantasy significance and their early status heading into Week 17 as of Monday, December 26, 2022. This article focuses only on players who suffered injuries on Saturday and Sunday of Week 16 games.
Christian Watson, Marquise Goodwin, Tyler Boyd, and Hunter Henry picked up bumps and bruises in Week 16. We can't know for sure how these injuries will progress before game time in Week 17, but it's never too early to at least take a look at the group of key guys to prepare for waiver wire Wednesday or Thursday.

Christian Watson Injury Update
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (hip) didn't return to Sunday's win over the Dolphins. The rookie, who finished with six catches for 49 yards in Week 16, has emerged as Aaron Rodgers' favorite target. Naturally, there was some concern after his premature exit, especially from fantasy managers.
However, it appears the 23-year-old avoided a serious injury, reporting after the game he wasn't concerned while adding, "I'll be alright." Although Watson will undergo further testing on Monday, there's hope he'll play in the Week 17 NFC North showdown against the Minnesota Vikings.
Marquise Goodwin Injury Update
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (wrist) briefly exited and was questionable to return to Saturday's clash with the Chiefs. The 32-year-old re-injured the left wrist that forced him to carry a questionable tag heading into this one.
He did eventually return to action, but despite Tyler Lockett's (finger) absence, Goodwin didn't get anything going for fantasy managers, failing to catch any of his four targets. If Lockett remains out for Week 17, Goodwin will be back on the fantasy radar despite the goose-egg performance on the fantasy stat sheet.
Tyler Boyd Injury Update
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd (finger) was questionable to return to Sunday's meeting against the Patriots, but ultimately did return to action and finished with three receptions for 21 yards. The wideout had dislocated a right finger a few weeks ago versus the Browns, so now he's dealing with an injury on his other hand, which obviously isn't ideal.
His production could take a hit in Week 17 against the Buffalo Bills, so this will be worth monitoring as the week moves on.
Hunter Henry Injury Update
New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry (knee) exited Saturday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals after the first possession with a knee injury and did not return. He didn't record a statistic before leaving. The severity of Henry's knee injury is unknown and is considered day-to-day.
The 28-year-old will undergo tests and further evaluation early next week. Jonnu Smith would see an uptick in targets if Henry is forced to miss any time. Smith also exited Saturday's game with a concussion, leaving Scotty Washington, listed as a wide receiver, as the team's only potential healthy tight end.
