While fantasy players still love redraft leagues, dynasty fantasy football has become a massive part of the community. Travis Kelce has been the TE1 in dynasty leagues for the past several years.
However, that title now belongs to Sam LaPorta. Last season, the former Iowa star was the TE1, averaging 11.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He also finished fourth in the NFL with 10 receiving touchdowns, totaling four more than any other tight end.
While LaPorta should remain the dynasty TE1, let’s look at three tight ends who could dethrone him of that title in 2024.

Dalton Kincaid
The Buffalo Bills made massive changes at the wide receiver position this offseason, swapping out Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis for Curtis Samuel and Keon Coleman, making Kincaid a popular second-year breakout candidate in 2024. He had a solid rookie season, ending the year as the TE11, averaging 7.1 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. After totaling only two touchdowns as a rookie, Kincaid could lead all tight ends in scores this season.

Trey McBride
McBride was outstanding in the second half of last year. He was the TE4, averaging 11.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game from Week 10 through Week 18. While the second-year player caught passes from multiple quarterbacks in 2023, McBride still had 81 receptions for 825 receiving yards and three touchdowns. With Marvin Harrison Jr. drawing attention from opposing defenses, McBride could have a third-year breakout in 2024.
Whole team made sure he got into the end zone 😂

Kyle Pitts
Many fantasy players have given up on Pitts despite joining Mike Ditka as the only two tight ends in NFL history to have over 1,000 receiving yards as a rookie. Unfortunately, Pitts has struggled the past two years because of injuries and awful quarterback production. However, he had a career-high three receiving touchdowns last season. Thankfully, the Atlanta Falcons added Kirk Cousins this offseason, giving Pitts a chance to finally become an elite fantasy tight end.
Ridder to Pitts! 36-yard touchdown!
