BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB23
ANALYSIS: Tennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard has been productive this season. He is the RB20 for the year, averaging 13.2 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The veteran has scored 13.2 or more fantasy points in 75% of the games despite having only three rushing touchdowns this season.

Last week, Pollard didn’t practice once heading into the matchup against the New England Patriots because of a foot injury. Yet, the veteran saw a season-high 28 rushing attempts for 128 yards, three receptions for 26 receiving yards and 16.9 fantasy points in the win over the Patriots. Therefore, fantasy players shouldn’t be concerned that he hasn’t practiced this week.
Unfortunately, Pollard’s matchup this week is far from ideal. He faces a Los Angeles Chargers defense that has held running backs to 14.3 fantasy points per game, the second-fewest in the NFL. The Chargers have surrendered only one rushing touchdown this year.
While fantasy players don’t want to bench Pollard, they should temper their expectations for the veteran running back.

The wide receiver position has an advantage over the running back position in PPR scoring formats, typically.
