Running back Tony Pollard entered the offseason as one of the top backs in free agency. When the tampering period opened on Monday, Pollard immediately found himself with a new deal in Tennessee.
Pollard didn't quite impress many last year after coming back from a brutal ankle injury. However, he still topped 1,000 rushing yards for the second consecutive season while totaling 55 catches for 311 yards through the air. The 26-year-old back now finds a new home with the Tennessee Titans.
How many years is Pollard's deal? How much money did he get back? Is Tennessee a great landing spot for fantasy football? Let's dive in and find out.

Tony Pollard Signing Details
There was interest in a return to Dallas for Pollard, but that ultimately didn't happen as Tennessee stepped in. The Titans were said to be the most aggressive team in landing the dual-threat back, which helped them sign the 26-year-old to a three-year deal worth up to $24 million.
Reports said that the Cowboys did make an offer to Pollard and wanted him to return. However, Tennessee's offer appeared to be better.
Cowboys hoped for Tony Pollard’s return. His strong market sends him to the Titans. Likely a 2025 compensatory pick in result for Dallas, which has a major reshuffle coming at running back. https://t.co/GbakSJU6bv

Pollard will now split time with second-year back Tyjae Spears out of the Titans backfield. With Derrick Henry also a free agent, there should be over 300 vacant touches for the two running backs in 2024.
Tony Pollard 2024 Fantasy Outlook
Pollard was one of the most hyped-up fantasy targets in the early rounds of drafts last year due to the departure of Ezekiel Elliott. Nevertheless, by the end of the season, he was arguably the biggest bust. He averaged just 13.1 PPR fantasy points across 17 games.
However, it was evident that Pollard was not 100% after getting offseason ankle surgery for an injury he suffered in the 2023 Divisional Round against the San Francisco 49ers. In his second year removed from that injury, he should be able to showcase more explosive plays in Tennessee.

Pollard won't be a high draft pick like he was in 2023, but he can still be a solid fantasy RB2 with the Titans. He should be the starter over Spears and see usage in both the passing and running game. Don't forget, the former Cowboys running back finished as the RB8 in PPR formats during the 2022-2023 season while splitting work with Elliott. The upside is there for the 26-year-old, assuming he can find his explosive self again.
