NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 6/13/24
The National Hockey League playoffs have reached their end with the commencement of the Stanley Cup Finals. Will Edmonton finally break their curse or can Florida finally clinch their first Stanley Cup? During the playoffs, it is much more common to find low-scoring and heavy-hitting games. SCRATCH THAT! This year we have seen plenty of back-and-forth blowouts and teams getting swept! I will do my best to guide you through this showdown slate on DraftKings and FanDuel starting at 8:00 p.m. EDT.

Playoff Series To-Date
Florida Panthers at Edmonton Oilers: Panthers Lead Series 2-0
DraftKings and FanDuel Captain - NHL DFS Picks
Sergei Bobrovsky - DK $15K || FD $K
Opponent - Edmonton Oilers
It is no secret that the reason the Florida Panthers are coming into Edmonton with a 2-0 lead is because of their goaltending. Panthers’ starter, Sergei Bobrovsky is statistically playing some of the best hockey of his career. In his first two starts in the Stanley Cup Finals, he has a 2-0 record with a 0.50 Goals Against Average and a 0.980 Save Percentage. As mentioned, he and the Florida Panthers are traveling to Edmonton for the next two games of the Finals. Similar to Igor Shesterkin and the New York Rangers, when they played the Carolina Hurricanes earlier in the playoffs, Bobrovsky is going to get peppered early and often. Edmonton is in must-win mode territory now and they will push the pace of play all night. All Bobrovsky needs to do is sit back dial in and keep making saves.
Others To Consider (Cash/GPP):
- McDavid (DK $16.5K || FD $15K)
- Verhaeghe (DK $12.9K || FD $12K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Flex Players - NHL DFS Picks
Zach Hyman - DK $9K || FD $13.5K
Opponent - Florida Panthers
Zach Hyman who typically thrives off teammate Connor McDavid’s passing has not been seeing the same success so far in the Stanley Cup Finals. The winger has zero points and four shots. Compared to his previous five games against the Dallas Stars where he produced two goals, one assist, 22 shots and three blocked shots. If Edmonton is to start winning games, Hyman needs to start increasing his shot output and he also needs to start converting chances. Look for the winger to generate three shots at a minimum in Game 3 and the first home Stanley Cup Finals game in Edmonton since 2006.
Evan Bouchard - DK $8K || FD $11.5K
Opponent - Florida Panthers
Evan Bouchard who continues to remain in the article for the Stanley Cup Finals, continues to be one of the most consistent players for the Edmonton Oilers. In five games – including two Finals performances –, he has one goal, five assists, 11 shots, and 11 blocked shots. If Bouchard can start producing more points, he will be one of the top lineup choices game in and game out, due to his consistent peripheral production.
Sam Bennett - DK $7.4K || FD $10.5K
Opponent - Edmonton Oilers
Everyone is focused on the center and star, Aleksander Barkov. While this is happening, second-line center, Sam Bennett, is reaping the rewards from a lack of pressure and defense. Throughout his last five playoff appearances, Bennett has had three goals, three assists, 15 shots, and one blocked shot. Depending on Barkov’s status heading into Game 3, Bennett or Anton Lundell will fill the void on the top line. No matter what, Bennett will see an increase in time on ice, and with it will come more opportunities to produce.
Others To Consider (Cash/GPP):
- Ekholm (DK $5.8K || FD $9K)
- Rodrigues (DK $5.6K || FD $8.5K)
