NHL DFS Analysis And Picks For 4/15/25
Tonight, we have a 10-game slate and two teams playing on a back-to-back, three teams playing on a back-to-back, Florida, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Tonight’s slate offers value across the board, allowing for creativity when building lineups.
The currently live top-3 highest implied team totals are: Toronto with 3.7, Ottawa with 3.6, and Minnesota with 3.5. I will do my best to guide you through this 10-game slate on DraftKings and FanDuel starting at 7:00 p.m. EST.
DISCLOSURE: Make sure to monitor the NHL news feeds for the latest player status and injury news. This becomes more important with players sitting for rest ahead of the playoffs!
NHL Stanley Cup Playoff Implications:
- If the Toronto Maple Leafs win, they clinch the Atlantic Division and a first-round matchup with the Ottawa Senators.
- The Columbus Blue Jackets must win their last two games to have a fighting chance at playoffs.
- The Floridian battle between the Panthers and the Lightning is mostly about seeding. However, if Toronto loses and Tampa wins, the Lightning still has a chance at clinching the Atlantic Division.
- If the Minnesota Wild win tonight, they clinch a playoff spot.
- If the St. Louis Blues win in regulation tonight, they will clinch a playoff spot.
- The Calgary Flames need to win their final two matches in regulation to give them a fighting chance for a playoff spot.
DraftKings And FanDuel Goalies - NHL DFS Picks
Jet Greaves - DK $7.4K || FD $7.2K
Opponent - at Philadelphia Flyers
Jet Greaves has come out of nowhere, winning three straight starts while producing a 1.00 Goals Against Average and a 0.968 Save Percentage. He now has a 4-1 record in his last five starts, dating back to January 11, with a 1.21 Goals Against Average and a 0.959 Save Percentage.
The Philadelphia Flyers' last 10 home games have produced 0.1 fewer Goals Per 60, and they have a negative 0.2 Expected Goals Per 60 as well. The Blue Jackets are still playing for something, down four points from the final playoff team, Montreal. If they can win their last two games in regulation and Montreal loses their last game in regulation, Columbus will take the final playoff spot with more Regulation Wins. Expect Greaves to continue to carry this team.
Others To Consider (Cash/GPP):
- Dustin Wolf (DK $7.6K || FD $7.7K) vs. Vegas Golden Knights
- Philipp Grubauer (DK $7.2K || FD $7.3K) vs. Los Angeles Kings

DraftKings And FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks
Joel Eriksson Ek - DK $6.4K || FD $6.4K
Opponent - vs. Anaheim Ducks
Joel Eriksson Ek and the leadership of the Minnesota Wild have immense pressure riding on their shoulders. The hosts will clinch a playoff spot if they manage a win in this matchup. In Eriksson Ek’s first three games since his return, he has produced four goals, 11 shots, and five blocked shots.
The Anaheim Ducks are relying heavily on their goaltending. In their last 10 away games, they have conceded 2.71 more Scoring Chances Against Per 60. Furthermore, expected starter Lukas Dostal is not doing any better. The netminder has a 3.8 Goals Against Average, a -0.9 Goals Saved Above Expected Per 60, and a 0.878 Save Percentage. If the Minnesota Wild win this game, they will secure a birth in the post-season. Eriksson Ek and company are projected for a big night.
Sean Monahan - DK $5.5K || FD $7.2K
Opponent - at Philadelphia Flyers
Sean Monahan is in blazing hot form, and his team desperately needs it as they claw their way into a potential playoff position. The veteran center has produced two goals, three assists, six shots, and six blocked shots in his most recent five outings.
The Philadelphia Flyers have not seen any drastic changes in their last 10 home games compared to their last 25 home games. They are still a bottom-ten defense in Goals Against Per 60, Scoring Chances Against Per 60, and Shots Against Per 60. Expected starter Samuel Ersson is also seeing negative regression. With playoffs on the line, Monahan is projected to produce double-digit fantasy points.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):
- Auston Matthews (DK $9.5K || FD $8.8K) at Buffalo Sabres
- Anthony Cirelli (DK $4.7K || FD $6.4K) vs. Florida Panthers
DraftKings And FanDuel Wings - NHL DFS Picks
Matt Boldy - DK $7.5K || FD $7.7K
Opponent - vs. Anaheim Ducks
After back-to-back ‘poor’ performances, Matt Boldy has been elevated to the top line of the Minnesota Wild in hopes of jump-starting his offense. The young winger has one goal, six assists, 15 shots, and six blocked shots in his last five games.
As mentioned above, the Wild are in if they can get the two points. Considering Boldy has a prime line matchup tonight and the Wild need to win, the youngster is projected to register one point and three shots.
Angus Crookshank - DK $2.6K || FD $3.3K
Opponent - vs. Chicago Blackhawks
Angus Crookshank is going from fourth-line duties to first-line duties, thanks to Ottawa’s poor form. The youngster has produced one assist, two shots, and three blocked shots over his last five appearances.
The Chicago Blackhawks will be playing on the second half of their back-to-back after pulling off an impressive shootout win in Montreal last night. Expected starter Spencer Knight has a 2.89 Goals Against Average, a -0.41 Goals Saved Above Expected Per 60, and a .886 Save Percentage. Crookshank is expected to garner heavy ownership, playing on a top line with a good matchup and an ‘affordable’ salary.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):
- Matthew Knies (DK $6.4K || FD $6.4K) at Buffalo Sabres
- Brandon Hagel (DK $6.2K || FD $7.9K) vs. Florida Panthers
DraftKings And FanDuel Defensemen - NHL DFS Picks
Rasmus Andersson - DK $5.1K || FD $5.7K
Opponent - vs. Vegas Golden Knights
In his last five appearances, Rasmus Andersson has accumulated one assist, 12 shots, and 10 blocked shots. This is all while on the second pairing and the second power-play unit for the Flames. His point production is worrisome, but his peripheral production makes up for it.
The Calgary Flames need to win out to secure a potential playoff spot. Andersson is expected to be active in both zones in what is considered a difficult matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights. This will give him ample opportunity to reach value.
Brock Faber - DK $5K || FD $5.3K
Opponent - vs. Anaheim Ducks
Brock Faber is gaining form at the best possible point of the season for the Wild. The young, two-way defenseman has two goals, one assist, 10 shots, and 12 blocked shots throughout his last five appearances.
As mentioned previously, the Anaheim Ducks continue to own one of the worst defenses in the league and rely on their goaltending to keep them alive, game in and game out. Can Faber extend his point streak to four games?
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):
- Zach Werenski (DK $7.5K || FD $6.8K) at Philadelphia Flyers
