BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED: 1% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: I already named Tim Patrick as one of my Waiver Wire targets for Week 4 seven days ago. Now, after having watched him play the Jets last Thursday, I'm here for the second consecutive week to convince you 99% of fantasy GMs about giving him a chance. Only 1% of you out there trusted me, and to that, I can only say: shame on you!
Tim Patrick was a freaking beast of a play last TNF. Patrick finished the game as the third-best player of the contest with 23.3 PPR points all by himself. He caught 6 of 7 targets for 113 yards through the air and scored a touchdown to put the cherry on top. Oh, and he did so playing under third-string quarterback Brett Rypien, who replaced Jeff Driskel in Week 4 for the whole game.
I'm not saying Patrick will stay a 20+ PPR weekly scorer going forward, but I'm also not not saying it. Denver is absolutely depleted of talent thanks to injuries. Just last Thursday TE Noah Fant had to leave the field early, adding to Courtland Sutton (lost for the year), K.J. Hamler (hamstring), and Phillip Lindsay (toe) among others.
Patrick played 53 snaps against New York, the second-highest mark among Broncos only bested by WR DaeSean Hamilton, although Hamilton only saw 3 targets and caught one pass. Denver faces the Patriots Defense in W5 and then the Dolphins', which both rank in the bottom-10 in preventing fantasy points to WRs. Make Tim Patrick a priority addition in deeper leagues as a FLEX play with upside to finish inside the WR2 group of fantasy scorers.
