ANALYSIS: Although (thank God) Denver didn't lose any player to injury this past weekend, you know how the season has gone for the Broncos so far on that front. Courtland Sutton is out for the year, Phillip Lindsay is expected to miss at least another week, and Drew Lock shouldn't be on the field until Week 5. All of this has opened the door to secondary players to enter the spotlight, such as Tim Patrick did this past weekend.
Patrick wasn't horrid in Week 1 tallying 6.9 PPR points only bested by WR Jerry Jeudy's 8.6, but then put on a dud of just 4.4 to follow that up. No worries, though, as Tim Patrick was able to have a huge rebound this past weekend against Tampa Bay dropping 14.3 PPR points on the Bucs to the tune of 4 receptions on 4 targets for 43 yards through the air and a touchdown, the only one by a Bronco-receiver all season long.
Although Patrick has yet to be targeted more than five times in a single game, he's played the second-most snaps (153) among Denver's players only bested by Noah Fant (157). That bodes well for him going forward, even more with Sutton out and Lindsay missing time. Patrick is virtually available for free in every league, and although his ceiling hasn't looked so high through three weeks it is to expect that it keeps rising as we get deep into the season, and once QB Drew Lock comes back from injury.
