BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 40% of Yahoo Leagues
ANALYSIS: Through his time in the majors, Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson has always been a slightly above average hitter, with tons of speed, making him an important categories fantasy player, as he could contribute to steals without sacrificing too much. This year, he's still been helpful in rotisserie leagues, it's just that he's contributed in places you wouldn't think. Anderson already has more than half of his last year's home run total in just over a quarter of the plate appearances. Anderson slammed nine long balls in over 400 at-bats, and three of his five this year have come in the last week. Anderson's swinging strike percentage is down but everything else is up, including all the balls he swings at outside of the zone. His nine homers last year is the most he's hit in any single season at any level, but he looks ready to obliterate that this year.
Anderson is a solid option as a starting SS in fantasy leagues, as his statistics have improved and the White Sox offense has come alive as well. Jose Abreu is on a hot streak, and Avisail Garcia has not cooled down either, giving Anderson an opportunity to approach 100 runs scored at the top of the White Sox lineup. Look for more stolen bases from Anderson and for him to gain more ownership in deep mixed leagues.
