BALLER MOVE: Add in 14-Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 18% of leagues
ANALYSIS: The Thunder are screwed. Just this past Friday, OKC had to endure a game in which they could only count on eight warm bodies, the league minimum to go ahead with a scheduled matchup, due to COVID-related issues and health and safety protocols. Sadly for me, Maledon was part of those staying out of such a game against Minny.
OKC's and Maledon's current situation is worth monitoring, but the rookie is a must-add in any deep league and has a chance to turn into a 12-team league viable target if everything ends are whispers have it. That is, with OKC moving on from George Hill (currently injured) and featuring Maledon/Shai in the backcourt. Prior to Friday's scare, Maledon had already started five games in a row, played an average of 30 MPG, and posted an average 11-3-3 line to go with 2 steals per game.
Since becoming a starter, Maledon has thrived. The high amount of playing time has him as a below-average per-minute fantasy performer, which is reasonable, but he's racking up numbers thanks to such extended runs. Maledon is shooting 51.4 percent from the field in his last four games (min. 28 minutes played), has hit at least one triple in each topping at six, scored 11+ points in three of those four, and he's also contributing on both the boards and assist departments. The turnovers are a little bit of an issue, though, so he's preferable in 8-cat formats.

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 8% of leagues ANALYSIS: The surge of Deni Avdija in all fantasy leaderboards has a very easy-to-grasp reason and that's Kyle Kuzma missing time with an injury.
