It was reported earlier Monday morning from sources close to the league that the NFL “feels” it needs to uphold New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s four-game suspension for his role in the controversial Deflategate.
Brady appealed the suspension in June and now eagerly waits to hear if NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will uphold or overturn the decision.
Given Goodell’s past of issuing rather askew suspensions (Hi there, Mr. Ray Rice!) before backtracking on his decisions, it will be pretty hard for the slaphappy Commissioner to overturn, or reduce, Brady’s startling four-game grounding considering the integrity of the league happens to be on the line.
The final verdict for the appeal ruling can’t come soon enough for Pats nation, fantasy football enthusiasts, and to those of us who are sick and tired of constantly debating the perfection of Brady’s balls.
