This is your weekly list of players to drop. I will do my best to limit this list to injured players and players you might consider holding. If you roster pure handcuffs or backups, obviously you can let them go at any time. The players on this list will, ideally, be guys that aren't clearly droppable, but no longer worth owning.

Below are my Week 2 cuts and drops for fantasy football. Each week from now until the end of the season, I’ll be offering my thoughts on players who don’t deserve to keep a roster spot on your fantasy football teams.

Players to Consider Dropping or Replacing

Delanie Walker (TE, TEN)

We start with the injuries. Delanie Walker dislocated his ankle and broke his leg on Sunday. He will miss the rest of the season. He can safely be dropped in all redraft formats.

Marcus Mariota (QB, TEN)

I'm not sure why Marcus Mariota was 73% owned in Yahoo leagues, but that number should be significantly lower. He looked terrible before exiting with an elbow injury. There's no need to hold onto him in single QB formats.

Dak Prescott (QB, DAL)

It pains me to admit that last year's overall QB1 through the first seven weeks of the season is not worth owning, but he's not worth owning. The Cowboys offense is as bland as ever. Jason Garrett and Scott Linehan have zero creativity. And Dak Prescott has no one to throw to. I still think Prescott is a good quarterback, but not one you can rely on in fantasy. It is going to be a long year in Dallas.

Josh Doctson (WR, WAS)

Anyone hoping for a Josh Doctson breakout can forget about it. I think it's time to file him away with Kevin White and Devante Parker. It's never going to happen.

Cameron Meredith (WR, NO)

I still believe in Cameron Meredith's talent, but he was a healthy scratch in Week 1. Maybe the opportunity comes eventually, but you can't be rostering players that aren't starting ahead of Tommylee Lewis.

Devontae Booker (RB, DEN)

About a week ago, we were lamenting over Vance Joseph's refusal to name Royce Freeman the starter. Fast forward to Sunday and Devontae Booker has fallen behind Phillip Lindsay in the pecking order. Booker has no value.

Players You May Be Considering Dropping, But Shouldn't

Corey Clement (RB, PHI)

After playing just 20% of the snaps opening night, Corey Clement is probably on the chopping block. He's not a must keep by any stretch, but nothing Jay Ajayi did was particularly encouraging. Darren Sproles is 35 years old and bound to break down. We've seen what Clement can do. I'd hang on another week if you can afford it.

Michael Gallup and Allen Hurns (WRs, DAL)

I refuse to believe that Cole Beasley is going to be the Cowboys leading receiver. One of Michael Gallup or Allen Hurns has to be relevant. The defensive matchup gets a bit easier next week against the Giants. Let's see how that plays out before cutting bait.

Alfred Morris (RB, SF)

The 49ers were simply not good against the Vikings. Jimmy Garoppolo played the worst game of his short career. Neither Alfred Morris nor Matt Breida was able to get going. I never thought Morris would be more than an RB3 anyway, but that's still a possibility, especially against weaker defenses. Hang tight.
