ANALYSIS: Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin has been a consistent WR2 for fantasy players since entering the NFL. The veteran wide receiver has had another solid year in 2023. He is the WR26 for the season, averaging 9.8 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The former Ohio State star has 60 receptions on 97 targets for 694 receiving yards and two touchdowns this year.
Unfortunately, McLaurin has been in a slump lately. Over the past four weeks, the star wide receiver has been the WR41, averaging 7.2 fantasy points per game, scoring 9.8 or fewer in every contest. By comparison, he was the WR13, averaging 12.6 fantasy points per game over the previous three weeks.
The veteran wide receiver faces the Miami Dolphins this week. They have surrendered 29.3 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season, the 13th-most in the NFL. Last week, the Dolphins held the New York Jets wide receivers to only 11 receptions for 79 receiving yards and 19.4 fantasy points.
However, the Commanders have a much more potent passing attack than the Jets. Hopefully, McLaurin can break out of his slump on Sunday.
