BALLER MOVE: Add In 10-Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 49% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Terrence Ross has finally arrived.
In his seventh NBA season, the former first round pick is averaging career highs in points, assists, field goal percentage, and three-point field goal percentage for the Magic. He's become a valuable part of the team, and while his play doesn't negate the fact that the Magic essentially traded Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis for him (with Serge Ibaka spending some time in Orlando in the middle), he does look like a solid NBA player.
Over his last five games, Ross is averaging 16.6 points and four rebounds per game while shooting 58.8 percent from the field and 60 percent from deep. In fact, since the start of November Ross has connected on 49 percent of his shots from deep, a long enough stretch to suggest that Ross might really have taken a leap as a three-point shooter. Sustained production from there would be a huge bonus for the Magic and for fantasy owners, and Ross is providing production in enough categories to make him a great addition to most fantasy rosters. If he can get his fouling under control -- he's had four or more three of the last four games -- then he should be able to see closer to 30 minutes per game, raising his fantasy ceiling even more. Ross is worth a look for fantasy owners who need scoring, threes, and rebounds from the guard positions. There's also the chance he provides solid steal numbers -- though he currently averages 0.9 per game, he averaged 1.1 last year and 1.8 during his 24 games with Orlando two seasons ago. The upside is there for Ross to be an even more productive fantasy option than he already is.
