ANALYSIS: Back-to-back games into the top-30 WRs for Terrace Marshall Jr. are far from a joke considering his recent past in the NFL and the fantasy game. Marshall had a rookie year to forget but that was more because of the lack of opportunities (13 games, 30 targets) than his actual talents lacking. He's truly proving his worth and performing to the hype levels from a couple of summers ago these days.
Marshall can be considered just a rookie this season considering the low volume of work he dealt with last season and the minimal reps he got playing for a putrid Panthers team. Now, in the two games he's seen more than 4 targets (W8 and W9) he's caught at least three of those targets each weekend while getting either 87 yards or a touchdown.
Marshall had a 9/4/87 game in Week 8 at Atlanta and is now coming off a season-best 6-target, 3-reception, 53-yard, one-touchdown outing facing Cincy away from home. Only DJ Moore (five) has more games with 10+ PPR points this season than Marshall (two) among the Panthers' WRs.
With Laviska Shenault and Shi Smith the other two main wideouts in this team and both of them clearly a level (or three) below Moore and Marshall, you can rest assured the latter two will retain the WR1 and WR2 roles in the offense respectively.
Add the factor that CMC is now out of Carolina and that there is no real target-hogging TE and all of a sudden Marshall looks like an extraordinary WR3/FLEX weekly starter for those in deeper leagues and even a good WR2-upside flier for those in slightly shallower formats.
