ANALYSIS: The Clips are missing Paul George now and for the next three/four weeks. The Clips are, too, missing Kawhi for the full regular season. Brandon Boston Jr. just hit the protocols. And all of that made possible Terance Mann's comeback to the starting lineup, something that has already happened in 11 consecutive games for the young guard/wing.
Mann has played 35 MPG in those 11 games starting. He is commanding a low percentage of shots but he's also limiting his turnovers a lot, so the 14% usage rate is pretty much all offense for him. Mann is hosting low amounts of shots with just 9 FGA per game since Dec. 8 (included) but he's shot fantastic percentages hitting shots at a 54%+ from the field. Mann is not adept at visiting the charity stripe, but he's good enough to score on those trips with an 81.6 FT% in that 11-game span.
Mann, simply put, is a scorer with rebounding tendencies and little else to his upside. Can't lie about that. He's reached double-digit points in nine of the 11 games he's started while scoring at least 1+ triple in nine of the 11 matches two. He has grabbed 7+ rebounds in more than half of those 11 games, and on the season he's putting up a 10-5-2 line on a healthy 30 MPG. Things will change once bodies start to come back from injury/protocols, but for now Mann is a safe bet to make on a daily starter.
