BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 50% of leagues
ANALYSIS: The Blue Jays brought in multiple outfielders from outside the organization this winter, but that wasn't enough to keep Teoscar Hernandez down on the farm for long. Acquired from Houston at the trade deadline in exchange for Francisco Liriano, the 25-year-old hit eight home runs in just 27 MLB contests last season and has already gone deep three times in nine games this year since being recalled from Triple-A. In addition to that power, Hernandez has speed to spare; while he only stole 16 bases in the minors in 2017, he swiped at least 30 bags in each of the prior three seasons.
You shouldn't expect Hernandez to continue hitting above .300 given his contact issues (15.9 SwStr%, 69.9 Contact%) and with Curtis Granderson, Randal Grichuk, and Steve Peace on the roster, he has some potential concerns with regard to playing time. Still, players with this kind of dynamic skill set aren't easy to come by on the waiver wire - which is where you'll find Hernandez in exactly half of Yahoo leagues right now.
