University of Tennessee quarterback Joe Milton possesses one of the biggest arms in college football. He's routinely flashed his canon-like arm to the likes of ESPN's College Gameday and Barstool Sports. However, during a recent trip to the famed Manning Passing Academy, Milton made a throw that's going viral and might be the most impressive of them all.
Milton spent last season behind NFL Draft pick Hendon Hooker on the Vols' depth chart. However, the soon-to-be senior opened lots of eyes while filling in for the injured Hooker in Tennessee's 31-14 Orange Bowl victory over Clemson by racking up 251 yards and three touchdowns on just 28 pass attempts.
The Volunteers QB might not be a household name yet, but you might want to go ahead and familiarize yourself with the rising senior, as Milton could be a legitimate dark-horse Heisman Trophy contender in the upcoming 2023 college football season.

Joe Milton Displays Arm Strength At Manning Passing Academy
While attending the legendary Manning Passing Academy this week and serving as a collegiate counselor, Joe Milton quickly became the talk of camp with throws that are blowing up on social media. The Tennessee quarterback put on a show for the other campers while the Manning family cheered him on. Milton uncorked multiple passes of over 70 yards with some speculating on social media that one pass traveled 80 yards in the air!
The CRAZIEST throw Ive ever seen… Joe Milton, University of Tennessee, roughly 80 yards to the opposite back corner of the end zone! 🤯 pic.twitter.com/lmbImOCnKW

Yeah...pretty unreal stuff. Let's take a look from another angle...
Tennessee QB Joe Milton has a cannon, no doubt.

The legend of Milton's superhero-like arm strength continues to grow with his performance at the Manning Passing Academy. Many social media commentators are already counting the hours until Milton's NFL Pro Day in 2024 when he'll actually be trying to put on a show for pro scouts instead of messing around with camp kids in a casual environment.
While there's little doubt that the Vols quarterback possesses physical tools that are off the charts, he'll need to prove what he can do on the field against top-level SEC competition in 2023 for head coach Josh Heupel's resurgent Tennessee program. If he plays well in the upcoming season, some experts believe he could make an Anthony Richardson-like ascension up NFL draft boards.
