BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 33% of leagues
ANALYSIS: The Reds, like many teams, do not have a obvious closer right now. Amir Garrett has collected two of their three saves to this point, but he also has hideous ratios (16.20 ERA, 3.20 WHIP) thanks to allowing three homers and seven (!) walks in five innings. Lucas Sims has Cincinnati's only other successful save op, and veteran Sean Doolittle has four 20-save seasons on his ledger. But the best reliever in the Queen City to this point has been Tejay Antone.
The 27-year-old has tossed 10.2 innings in his six appearances to date, allowing just one run and striking out 17 of the 40 batters he's faced. All three of his pitches are inducing whiffs at least 34% of the time, with two of them above 40%. He may remain in more a relief ace/stopper role, which would limit his save chances, but if Antone continues to post tidy ratios and gaudy strikeout totals, he doesn't need saves to be a worthwhile contributor to your fantasy squad.
