The 2024 NFL preseason is nearly here, meaning fantasy football drafts aren’t very far behind.
While the tight-end position lacks appealing options after the first eight or nine guys, the wide receiver position is deeper than ever.
Let’s look at the 2024 fantasy football outlook for three talented wide receivers -- Tee Higgins, Stefon Diggs, and Michael Pittman Jr.

Tee Higgins 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook
The Cincinnati Bengals placed the franchise tag on Higgins in March. Unfortunately, he will play the 2024 season on the franchise tag after both sides failed to reach a long-term agreement. While that isn’t ideal for Higgins, the veteran has been a consistent WR2 for fantasy players every year of his career except his injury-plagued 2023 season. Expect him to have a massive year before hitting the open market next March.

Stefon Diggs 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook
While Diggs has been a WR1 for fantasy players the past several seasons, those days are over for the veteran. He got traded to the Houston Texans in the offseason, going from the clear-cut go-to guy for Josh Allen to a role player for C.J. Stroud. More importantly, Diggs has had late-season struggles in back-to-back years. He should be the third Texans wide receiver drafted behind Nico Collins and Tank Dell.

Michael Pittman Jr. 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook
Fantasy players have high hopes for Pittman after he had another WR2 finish in 2023. However, the star receiver has struggled to find the end zone, scoring four receiving touchdowns last year, totaling more than four only once in his career. While the star receiver should be a solid option for fantasy players, Pittman could struggle to start the year.

Who Should I Draft in Fantasy Football?
All three wide receivers have been fantasy stars at one point in their career. However, none should get drafted as a WR1 in 2024. Pittman has the highest ceiling as the top pass-catcher for the Indianapolis Colts. Meanwhile, Higgins should have a bounce-back season if he can stay healthy. Unfortunately, Diggs has significant target competition and is on the wrong side of 30, putting him on my do-not-draft list.
