BALLER MOVE: Add in 2QB Leagues
ROSTERED: 17% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: The only thing separating early MVP-candidate Russell Wilson from Panthers' quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, three games into the season, are two completions and 53 passing yards. Well, that and 12 touchdowns, but let's not get picky here, please. That's a joke, obviously, but Bridgewater is throwing as much as any other starter, completing up to 74% of his throws, and to this point, he's only lacking in the scoring department.
Although Teddy had a rough weekend two weeks ago facing Tampa (two interceptions) he completed the most passes back then (33 of 42) for 367 yards in which could have been his best game of the season so far on raw numbers. Sadly, those two picks and the empty TD count dropped his fantasy production to 10.7 FP. Other than that, though, he's had two games over 14 FP, topping at 19.4 in Week 1.
Carolina has lost his main offensive weapon in Christian McCaffrey and that will make the Panthers throw the ball more often than not, not to mention the negative gamescript they'll probably have to endure all year long. Bridgewater is not a 1QB-league option, but he's definitely a good second-fiddle in 2QB-league formats. He's a borderline QB2 this season with upside for more as he keeps building rapport with his receiving corps and new pass-catching RB1 Mike Davis.
