BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 6% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Although Ted Ginn has struggled to post fantasy points this year, New Orlean’s matchups remain so good that I find it hard to not trust him exploding sooner rather than later. Truth be told, Ginn’s only superb games came all the way back in Week 1 (17.1 points) and Week 5 (11.6), but the schedule has favored the Saints receivers lately and will do at least for another week, so I need to have Ginn in my lineup.
This past weekend Ginn could “only” log 38 yards on two receptions. Considering the volume, those yards are great, but the overall performance didn’t amount to much in fantasy terms. Ginn has shown the ability to score touchdowns, as the did just a couple of games ago against Tampa when he put in his second of the year, and he has been targeted five times inside the red zone since the start of the season.
Ginn has been a six-to-nine points player lately. He’s not a league winner but in really deep leagues he should still be a viable option. He is averaging four targets and catching two passes per game for around 31 yards on average. New Orleans will visit Atlanta next and the Falcons rank 29th against opposing WRs, so this should be a good game for Ginn to bump up his numbers. Consider Ginn a good addition and a streaming option at the flex or second-flex spots if you play on any deep league if only because of this cupcake opponent, but drop him next week as the good games will be off the Saints schedule for the remainder of the year.
