We have finally been blessed with NFL football. Week one is here, and that means it is time to make some tough decisions. D'Andre Swift, Chuba Hubbard, and David Montgomery are all important names heading into the first week of action.
With solid 2023 seasons behind them, it’ll be interesting to see how these three players kick off 2024.
Should you start Swift, Hubbard, or Montgomery in Week 1? Let's jump in.

Should I Start D'Andre Swift for Fantasy Football?
Running back D'andre Swift had a solid campaign last year for the Philadelphia Eagles. He totaled 229 carries for 1,049 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns. Swift also had 39 receptions for 214 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Having missed several games early in his career due to injuries, he still has relatively fresh legs. Assuming he stays healthy, Swift is poised for a strong season as the Bears' RB1.
Swift should be considered a high-end RB2 as the Bears face the Titans in Chicago this Sunday.
He is the RB21 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.
Should I Start Chuba Hubbard for Fantasy Football?
Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard saw his most carries in a single season last year, carrying the ball 238 times for 902 yards. He was also targeted 44 times, catching 39 passes for 233 yards.

His production came with Mile Sanders not meeting expectations during the season's first half. Hubbard has remained as the Panthers' RB1 ever since he took the role from Sanders. He has never been the most efficient, averaging only 3.9 yards per carry over his first three seasons. Nevertheless, his volume alone should be enough for fantasy players to consider starting him.
The Panthers rookie, Jonathan Brooks, is also out until at least week 4. This is even more assurance Hubbard will get most of the looks in the backfield.
He should be considered a solid RB3 for the Panthers this weekend as they visit New Orleans.
He is the RB25 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.
Should I Start David Montgomery for Fantasy Football?
Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery had a good campaign in 2023. he saw 219 carries for 1015 yards and 13 touchdowns.

D'Andre Swift: RB20

Being the Lions' favorite red zone weapon, Montgomery should be in for another good fantasy season. He should be considered a solid RB2 when the team plays the Rams on Sunday night.
He is the RB19 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.
