Los Angeles Clippers - NBA Betting Analysis

After taking down the Suns by a score of 115-110, the Clippers are riding a four-game win streak. Kawhi Leonard led the way in scoring with 38 points. Los Angeles was the 7.5-point underdog heading into the game, giving them an ATS win.

With the win, the team has moved to 44-38, placing them 5th in the Western Conference. So far this season, they have gone 23-18 at home and 21-20 on the road. Los Angeles has covered the spread in exactly half of their game at 41-41.

Offensively, the Clippers are 19th in the league at 113.6 points per game. But over their last five games, Los Angeles has been playing well, averaging 121 points per contest. Los Angeles' three-point shooting numbers are among the best in the NBA, as the team ranks 8th in the NBA, having hit 38.1% of their looks from deep. But given that they are just 20th in possessions per game, their overall scoring numbers are closer to the league average. Currently, the Clippers are 17th in overall field goal percentage.

This season, the Clippers have allowed an average of 108.4 points per game, good for 12th in the league. In terms of three-point shooting, opponents have knocked down 34.3% of their looks from beyond the arc (21st) and 45.1% of their overall field goal attempts. Los Angeles' overall defensive numbers have been good despite the units' struggles on the glass, sitting just 14th in defensive rebounds per game. The Clippers are also a below-average group in forced turnovers, at just 13.5 per game.

Phoenix Suns - NBA Betting Analysis

The Suns enter today's game having lost three straight, including a 115-110 loss to the Clippers. Kevin Durant led the team in scoring with 27 points on 46.7% shooting. Going into the game, Phoenix was a 7.5-point favorite, adding an ATS loss to their resume.

Now, the Suns' overall record sits at 45-37, placing them 4th in the Western Conference. The team's current record at home is 28-13 and 17-24 on the road. This season, Phoenix's ATS record sits at 43-38.

Going into today's game, the Suns are ranked 24th in scoring with an average of 113.6 points per contest. Over their five most recent games, the team has been scoring an average of 225 points per game. This season, the Suns are ranked 19th in terms of pace with an average of 98.0 possessions per game. In terms of three-point shooting, they are one of the more efficient teams in the league (8th) with a percentage of 38.1%. Their overall field goal percentage of 47.7% places them 17th in the NBA.

This season, Phoenix has put together a strong defensive unit, allowing just 108.4 points per game (12th). But despite their strong overall numbers, they have been vulnerable on the glass, sitting just 14th in defensive rebounds per game. Yet, the Suns have been excellent at forcing turnovers, averaging 12.9 per game, placing them 1st in the NBA. For the season, they have allowed teams to hit 34.3% of their three-point shots and 45.1% of their overall shots from the field.

Today's NBA Betting Pick - Clippers vs. Suns

Today's matchup will be the 5th game of the season between the Clippers and Suns. So far, the Clippers have the leg up in the series 3-2. In the previous head-to-head matchup, the Clippers came out on top by a score of 115-110. Los Angeles went into the game as 7.5-point underdogs, giving them an ATS win. The combined 225 was less than the over/under line of 225.5.

In the Clippers' previous five games as the favorite, they have a straight-up record of 3-2 while going 3-2 against the spread. Across their last three road games, they are 1-2 ATS and 2-1 straight up. Their previous ten games have an over/under mark of 8-2 with an average of 237 points per contest.

Across Phoenix's last five games at home, they have an ATS mark of 2-3 while going 2-3 straight-up. As the favorite, the Suns are 2-1 straight up on an average scoring differential of -9 points per game. This has led to an ATS mark of 1-2. Their previous ten games have ended in an average of 230 points per game and an over/under mark of 5-5.

Recommended ATS Betting Pick: LAC +7.5

Recommended OU Betting Pick: Under 225.5
