Sunday Night Football DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings - Week One (9/12/2021)

John Brubaker's top NFL DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings for Week 1 of Sunday Night Football - Bears vs. Rams. His daily fantasy football advice and value plays.

Happy Sunday and happy football season Rotoballers! In what feels like the longest wait ever, NFL football is finally back. This will be my first week of football articles writing for you all, and I'm totally stoked to share my thoughts with you. Most of us started our fantasy journies with football, so it's always nice when it comes around. Thanks to the advanced analytics of today, I'll do my best to provide you with as much in-depth analysis as possible regarding positional matchups and the like to help put some lunch money in your pocket. Let's make some coin this season gang, and let's get right to it.

I will be providing you with daily fantasy football picks on FanDuel and DraftKings for the Thursday Night Football slate on September 9th. These lineups can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel.

DFS Quarterbacks

Matthew Stafford

We finally get to see it. Matthew Stafford on *not the Lions* and Sean McVay with a more-than-capable quarterback. He's got a solid matchup against the Bears, who had a 7.9% DVOA against the passing game last year. With weapons at his disposal, Stafford should do his part in getting the job done tonight.

Andy Dalton

I don't want to play many Bears in my lineups, especially not Andy Dalton. The Rams had a -17 DVOA against the passing game last year, one of the best in the league. They also have arguably the best cornerback in the game, Jalen Ramsey.

DFS Running Backs

Darrell Henderson Jr.

I think the Rams storm away with this one, so I don't mind having some Henderson as LA tries to bleed the clock out. I wouldn't be heavy on him at the captain spot, as the Bears were able to stop the run pretty well last year, with a DVOA of 22.5%. He is very game-script-dependent, but he's also the only RB I really like in this game.

David Montgomery

Putting this here as a courtesy, as you read my last statement. The Rams had a defensive DVOA of 24.1% against the run, among the best in the league.

DFS Wide Receivers

Allen Robinson

My favorite Bear of the night comes as no surprise with Allen Robinson. He's got arguably the best matchup tonight for them, as the Rams had a -4.6% DVOA against #1 wide receivers last year. He should get a huge target share and will be able to work with the hand he's dealt, in this case, Jalen Ramsey.

Cooper Kupp

I'm very high on Kupp this season from a season-long perspective. I think it starts tonight, too, as the Bears struggled to defend receivers out of the slot last year. They're coming in with a 30.1% DVOA against slot guys from last season, and I expect Coop to get a ton of work out of the slot.

Other WRs: Robert Woods, Darnell Mooney

DFS Tight Ends

Tyler Higbee

I'm big on Higbee this year as well, and he's got a good matchup tonight, as the Bears come in with a 5.3% DVOA against tight ends last season. I expect his target share to increase with the departure of Josh Reynolds, and I expect him to step up.

DFS Defense/Special Teams

Los Angeles D/ST

I'm not completely sure if the Bears will score multiple touchdowns tonight. They'd be better off ripping the band-aid off and starting Justin Fields, but here they are. Dalton is a mess, as we saw in Dallas. He now goes from having a surplus of weapons to... not quite that. I expect the Rams to make Dalton as uncomfortable as possible by getting pressures, forcing both turnovers and sacks. They'll be in most of my lineups for sure.

Happy Football Season, Everyone!
