BALLER MOVE: Start
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR2/WR3
ANALYSIS: While Houston, Texas, wide receiver Stefon Diggs didn't do well in Week 2, he was still targeted six times each game and hauled in two touchdowns in Week 1. The Vikings defense presents an interesting matchup for the Texans' wide receivers.
Through 2 games, the @Vikings rank No. 2 in the #NFL in pressure rate when rushing only 4 men (44.4%) 🤯

Houston's Week 3 opponent, the Minnesota Vikings, have pressured opposing quarterbacks at the highest rate when rushing just four players. This means Stroud is more likely to be under pressure. With Diggs mostly playing out of the slot and running shorter routes, he could see more volume.
Fellow WRs Tank Dell and Nico Collins are bigger downfield threats, so if Stroud is forced to pass quickly, the slot is a much more appealing option. Diggs is still an excellent man beater and separator.
With Texans running back Joe Mixon doubtful and RB Dameon Pierce out for Week 3, the Texans will lean on Cam Akers, who hasn't been impressive since late 2022 and suffered his second Achilles' tear in 2023. The Vikings defense won't have to worry as much about the run game.
A game with lots of pressure on the QB and lack of a run game could mean a heavy passing attack focused on short and intermediate throws, where Diggs thrives. He should see a bump in target volume and receiving yards this week. Keep him in your starting lineups.
