Steelers Acquire Former All-Pro Player
With their toughest game of the season looming against the Ravens in Week 11, Pittsburgh added some depth to their roster this week with the addition of former All-Pro return specialist and wide receiver Jamal Agnew.

Drafted by the Lions as a cornerback in 2017, Agnew displayed serious special teams chops by earning First Team All-Pro recognition as a return specialist in his rookie season. He converted from CB to the WR position, while continuing to hand returns on special teams during his time in Detroit, and later the Jacksonville Jaguars. Agnew has recorded four punt return TDs and two kickoff return TDs in his career while displaying dynamic speed.
Agnew's 2023 season in Jacksonville was cut short due to a fractured lower leg. He's drawn interest from several teams as he's rehabbed the injury. The Steelers signed Agnew to their practice squad on Tuesday and he's expected to work his way onto the 53-man roster in short order to contribute on special teams and add some depth at wide receiver for Pittsburgh.
