Should I Start Joshua Palmer for Fantasy Football?
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer had a bit of a let-down game against the Bears last week, catching three passes for 24 yards. That ended a run of four consecutive games with 60 or more receiving yards for the Chargers.
Palmer's struggles came with Quentin Johnston having his best performance in the NFL, catching five passes for 50 yards. If Johnston's role really is growing, Palmer's fantasy value takes a hit. Consider him a WR4 play against a good Jets defense on Monday night.
He is the WR42 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.
Should I Start Michael Pittman Jr. for Fantasy Football?
While Josh Downs has seen his role with the Colts grow week after week, Michael Pittman Jr. remains the team's No. 1 wide receiver. Pittman has found the endzone in back-to-back weeks heading into Week 9.
Last week against the Saints, Pittman was targeted 13 times, catching eight passes for 40 yards and a score. He heads into Week 9 as a solid fantasy WR2 play, though his ceiling has taken a bit of a hit because of the increased usage for Josh Downs.
He is the WR20 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.
Should I Start Logan Thomas for Fantasy Football?
Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas is having a resurgent season this year, averaging his most receiving yards per game since 2020.
Last week, Thomas caught six passes for 44 yards and a touchdown against the Eagles. It was the third time in four games that he had either 50 yards or a touchdown. Thomas might not be setting the world on fire, but he's established himself as a low-end TE1 option.
He is the TE8 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.
