Should I Start Marquise Brown for Fantasy Football?
In Week 6, Marquise Brown saw 11 targets but finished with just 34 yards and no touchdowns, resulting in an underwhelming performance. Among the Cardinals' receivers, he leads the team in both routes run (205) and targets (54) by a significant margin. The closest player in targets is tight end Zach Ertz with 38.
The matchup couldn't be any better for Brown, as the Seahawks have allowed the most points per game to wide receivers this season. The Seahawks currently rank 30th in defensive dropback success rate, which should create numerous opportunities for Brown to excel in this game. As a result, this Sooner alumni is a low-end WR1/high-end WR2 option for this week.
He is the WR15 in our PPR consensus staff rankings.
Should I Start Gabe Davis for Fantasy Football?
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis is coming off a disappointing performance, having only recorded three catches for 21 yards without any touchdowns. This marked the fourth time this year that Davis finished with fewer than five targets, and he has accumulated less than 40 yards in three out of six games so far. Throughout these six games, Davis is clearly the number two option in terms of routes run (198) and targets (30) among the Bills' wide receivers.
The Patriots have allowed the 18th-fewest points to wide receivers this season. They rank in the bottom half in dropback expected points added (EPA) per play and often limit receiver production in blowout games. Although Davis faced difficulties in both games against the Patriots last year, he still holds value as a WR3/flex option for this week.
He is the WR35 in our PPR consensus staff rankings.
Should I Start Brandon Aiyuk for Fantasy Football?
Brandon Aiyuk is coming off a challenging matchup against the Browns' defense, where he had four receptions on 10 targets, accumulating 76 yards with no touchdowns. Scoring opportunities were scarce in this game, but the 49ers' wide receiver was heavily targeted and managed to make some significant plays.
The 49ers are facing an easier matchup with the Vikings this week, a team that has allowed the third-most points to wide receivers this season. Aiyuk leads the 49ers in targets with 36, and the team ranks first in dropback expected EPA per play this season. Given these favorable conditions, the star receiver is positioned as a solid WR1 or high-end WR2 option for this week.
He is the WR8 in our PPR consensus staff rankings.
