Should I Start Jordan Mason for Fantasy Football?
Jordan Mason and the San Francisco 49ers will face the Minnesota Vikings this week. With Christian McCaffrey still questionable for the game due to an oblique injury, Mason could play a significant role for the 49ers along with Elijah Mitchell.
Even if McCaffrey does play, he will be limited, and Mason will get his opportunity. The Vikings are giving up an average of 112.3 rushing yards per game, and the 49ers could decide to use their running backs much more since Brock Purdy might be even without Deebo Samuel.
In six games this season, he has had 21 carries for 117 yards and scored two touchdowns, while averaging an impressive 5.6 yards per carry. The RotoBaller staff has Mason ranked #39 among RBs, and you could consider using him as a flex option this week. Most probably after this game, McCaffrey will be back to full health, and it will decrease Mason's usage.
Should I Start Rashee Rice for Fantasy Football?
Rashee Rice and the Chiefs will face the Chargers in Week 7. There has been a lot of criticism around the Chiefs' wide receivers, but Rice, being a rookie, has looked great.
In his last game, he finished with four receptions for 72 yards against the Broncos, and the Chiefs are looking to increase his usage. Although the Super Bowl champions recently traded for Mecole Hardman, Rice will remain an option for Patrick Mahomes.
The Chargers are giving up an average of 317.8 passing yards per game, and Mahomes could absolutely blow them away. Rice, who is ranked #39 among WRs by RotoBaller staff, could be considered a flex option for this week.
Should I Start Jaleel McLaughlin for Fantasy Football?
Jaleel McLaughlin signed as an undrafted free agent for the Denver Broncos after the 2023 NFL Draft. So far in six games this season, McLaughlin has had 29 carries for 190 yards and scored three touchdowns, while averaging 6.6 yards per carry. The Broncos also have Javonte Williams and Samaje Perine in their backfield, but the Youngstown State product has slowly emerged as an important part of their offense.
He will go against the Green Bay Packers this week, and despite his recent success, it will turn out to be a tricky matchup. Although the Packers are giving up an average of 143.4 rushing yards per game, they could cause serious problems for the Broncos offense. Failure to move the ball might result in them throwing a lot more than running the ball, and it will decrease the usage of their running backs.
As a result, you should consider keeping McLaughlin on the bench this week. He is currently ranked #25 among RBs by the RotoBaller staff.
