Adams will turn 20 at the outset of this season, yet he already has shown great promise with a four pitch repertoire (fastball, slider, curveball, and changeup) that scouts mark as 50+ or higher potential pitches. If he can continue to fill out physically as he nears his peak years (he’s 6’3”, 171 lbs.), he should be able to command a mid-90s fastball alongside one or two of those secondary pitches working out to be major-league worthy. He could use more strikeouts, but he ran through A-level ball with a 3% walk rate that really helped him keep things under control (ha-ha). Keep an eye on his development and hope for a 2018 debut, but the potential is very strong here and he’s worth your attention.
