NBA DFS Props - Over/Under Picks for Wednesday, November 8
Jrue Holiday OVER 2.5 Turnovers
The Celtics have been reliant on Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown for years, but the addition of Jrue Holiday gives their offense different angles to attack from. Despite being a defense-first point guard, he takes responsibility for getting everyone involved.
Since joining Boston, his assists remain among the team leaders and his playmaking is exactly what we are targeting. The 76ers defense hasn’t been great at generating steals this season, but they clog passing lanes and De’Anthony Melton is capable of causing a few turnovers single-handedly. Even as a fan of Holiday’s game, his one weak spot is that he is turnover-prone and subject to three turnovers every night regardless of what team he’s playing for.
Chet Holmgren OVER 10.5 Rebounds+Assists
Playing alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander causes concern when it comes to scoring, but it’s fairly clear that Holmgren is more than capable of producing on his own everywhere else. Just the last week Holmgren is averaging double-digit rebounds and three assists, more than enough for what we need tonight.
Until there is an obvious reason why Holmgren won’t be able to get the peripheral stats, this number needs to be targeted until it’s adjusted. He’s covering this over with rebounds alone and assists act as the perfect buffer.
Cam Thomas OVER 2.5 3PM
Cam Thomas has only hit three or more three’s twice this season. Once in a 17-point effort early last week and again in his last game where he scored 45-points. Although we’d like him to have another massive-outing, even with modest expectations he’s going to put up the attempts against this Clippers squad.
The defense of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard can seem daunting, but this Los Angeles defense is nothing to fear. Teams are going to be gunning for them and with their star-talent, it’s going to bring the best out of some of these younger, explosive teams. Even if Cam Thomas doesn’t have a great all-around game, he should still have success from the perimeter.
