Welcome to our Sleeper NBA DFS prop picks for Friday, December 1. This is one of the first Friday’s that doesn’t consist of in-season tournament games which has been great motivation for staying engaged with NBA props. It’s not a bad strategy, but you’d have to do a small amount of research to know what games actually matter. We have yet to see any All-Star voting campaigns, so if you think the next few weeks will lack excitement, Trae Young, Tyrese Haliburton, and Jalen Brunson all topping 40-points on the same night is just the tip of the iceberg.
Sleeper offers some of the best and easiest-to-win NBA DFS games in the industry. Sleeper DFS works just like regular player prop betting -- there are no large-field tournaments to get lost in. You're not playing against other people; you're just playing against the projections. Here are some of our favorite NBA prop picks for Friday’s six-game slate.
Announcement: We have two awesome new Props Optimizers for the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, and NCAA! The PrizePicks Optimizer and Prop Bets Optimizer are both available in our new Props Premium Package, which includes exclusive access to RotoBaller's VIP Discord chat rooms for props and betting.
NBA DFS Props - Over/Under Picks for Friday, December 1
Scottie Barnes OVER 12.5 Rebounds + Assists
There must have been a typo somewhere because an hour ago some sportsbooks had Scottie Barnes rebounds and assists listed at 16.5 Even Underdog and the more ‘carnival’ betting sites are listing him at 13.0, so the inflation must have been accidental.
His recent remarks regarding defense might be exaggerated, but his importance to this team in nearly every aspect is unrivaled. He’s been one of the more consistent Raptors and albeit Pascal Siakam’s defense is still more valuable, Barnes’ improvement is carrying the stats to back it up.
Dereck Lively II UNDER 2.5 Assists
Dereck Lively II is not a possession-extender, he’s a possession-ender. He’s the big rolling and grabbing as many rebounds as he can. He gets the ball in the paint and goes up with no regard for anyone else, teammates included. However, his rebounding line sitting at 9.5 is way too high since he’s smart enough to know when to box out and when to chase a rebound.
The Grizzlies roster doesn’t have a ton of height, but the young core is desperate to do something, anything when they get on the court. Grabbing rebounds is one of those things anyone can do and Memphis’ effort on second-chance points has drastically improved. Even if this game favors the Mavericks, Lively’s assists are rarely surpassing the 2.5-line.
Kyle Kuzma OVER 10.5 Rebounds + Assists
It’s amazing how the Wizards terrible-ness keeps the door open for so many viable bets. Tyus Jones’ rebounds and assists line is surprisingly low as well as Daniel Gafford’s rebounding prop, but Kyle Kuzma’s rebounds should make you double-take. It’s been said before and it’ll be said again, Kuzma is a bettor’s player and it’s because he chases stats.
He steals rebounds, hunts assists and selfishly shoots. This is what we want to see a player we bet on do every night regardless if his team wins or loses. Since Washington is already at a point where they have nothing to lose, Kuzma’s playmaking and rebounding props are going to be easy targets. The Wizards offense shows no signs of consistency other than Kuzma getting the ball on most possessions.
