The Cleveland Guardians' offense has been rolling right along in 2024 despite low expectations. They have posted the 12th-best wRC+ vs. right-handed pitching over the previous month and the sixth-best mark against left-handed pitching over the same timeframe.
The question here is whether or not Kyle Manzardo should be stashed in your fantasy leagues, and quite frankly, the answer is no.
We have seen Kyle Manzardo at the Major League level already in 2024, and he was a huge disappointment. He posted just a .207/.241/.329 slash line with zero home runs and just seven RBI across 87 plate appearances before being sent back down to Triple-A Columbus.
While he has shown plenty of promise in Columbus this season by posting a .288/.388/.615 slash line with 13 home runs, the Guardians are currently in first place in the AL Central and attempting to make a run at the number one seed in the American League.
They seem to have moved on a bit from Manzardo as several other prospects such as Angel Martinez, Jhonkensy Noel, and Daniel Schneemann have all gotten the call since sending Manzardo down, and they have all produced.
How Soon Can We Expect Manzardo to Get Back to the Major Leagues?
While Manzardo could be an option for Cleveland in the future, he does not seem to fit in the mix of their current roster barring injury.
He also can be waited on in leagues as his first stint in the big leagues did not leave fantasy managers running to the wire to add him.
