What Did Zay Flowers Do In Week 3?
Rookie Zay Flowers has seen heavy involvement in the Ravens' passing attack so far this season with 25 targets and four carries through the first three games of his NFL career. Last weekend against the Colts, he was targeted 10 times, catching eight of those passes for 48 yards. Flowers also added a two-yard carry. He played 67 snaps, which accounted for 93% of the team's offensive snaps. Nelson Agholor was second among the team's wideouts in snaps, taking 15 fewer than Flowers.
Zay Flowers Wide Receiver Rankings Analysis
Flowers is the No. 36 WR in RotoBaller's Week 4 PPR rankings.
Player | Position Rank | Overall Rank | Tier |
---|---|---|---|
Zay Flowers | 22 | 41 | 3 |
This makes him a low-end WR2 play this week according to RotoBaller's rankings team. His stock is up because of injuries at the wide receiver position in Baltimore.
Should I Start Zay Flowers In Week 4 Fantasy Football?
The Ravens enter this week with a number of injuries at wide receiver. Notably, Rashod Bateman won't play against the Browns. Neither will Odell Beckham Jr.
Flowers has already established himself as the team's No. 1 wide receiver despite being just three games into his NFL career. With Bateman out, Flowers has a great chance to see double-digit targets for the third time in four games. He's yet to find the end zone, but he's recorded 21 catches for 188 yards so far.
The problem this week is that he faces a Browns defense that allows the fewest fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. Volume should give him a solid floor, but this matchup limits his upside. While he's ranked as a low-end WR2, his range of outcomes is anywhere from a volume-based WR1 to a WR3/4. He's worth starting in most formats, but temper expectations.
