Rachaad White Fantasy Football Outlook
Through two games, the Arizona State product has earned elite running back usage while not producing at a highly efficient level. Usage is king, however, and as long as he is able to maintain this backfield share, we will project a weekly RB2 at worst.
This week will be the Buccaneers' backfield's toughest test facing a vaunted Eagles front seven. Philadelphia has limited each of their opponents' RB1 to 89 and 39 total yards and no touchdowns in their first two contests. It's hard to project White to produce more on the ground, but he does have a chance to succeed through the air.
The second-year back hauled in five receptions last week. Rhamondre Stevenson caught six passes in Week 1 against Philadelphia, and this is where White should be able to find success. Tampa Bay will likely be trailing in the game and, with pressure from the Eagles, will need to get the ball out quickly and check down. It certainly isn't a dream matchup, but one White should produce in nonetheless.
Rachaad White Running Back Rankings Analysis
White enters Week 3 as the RB18 among RotoBaller's PPR staff ranks, a locked-in RB2 for your fantasy team.
Projecting around 20+ total touches firmly places White in the top 24 RBs for Week 3. His ceiling is lowered a bit due to the matchup, but he should still score fantasy points on volume alone.
Should I Start Rachaad White In Week 3 Fantasy Football?
Yes! White is currently such a high-volume running back that there are almost no matchups to fade for him. Plus, there have been injuries to multiple top-ranked RBs, leaving the landscape barren. Very few fantasy managers are in a position to sit the Bucs' lead back, as he should be started in all formats.
