Puka Nacua has easily been one of the best late-round sleepers of the 2023 season so far.

The fifth-round draft pick out of BYU exploded for ten catches and 119 yards in Week 1. He finishes as the WR9 in just his first career game. He exceeded both totals in Week 2 to finish as the WR2. While he cooled down somewhat in Week 3, he still finished as a WR3.

Now the Rams face the Colts in Week 4. Is Puka Nacua still a must-start for fantasy teams?

What Did Puka Nacua Do In Week 3?

Maybe it's too much to expect a young receiver to catch double-digit passes and exceed 100 receiving yards every single game of his rookie season. In Week 3, against the Cincinnati Bengals, Nacua only caught five passes for 72 yards. That was still enough to lead the team in receptions and yards. Tutu Atwell did get two more targets than Nacua, but Atwell only hauled in four of those.

The problem with the Rams in Week 3 is that their offensive line was decimated by injuries, and they allowed six sacks. The Rams might get some players back in Week 4, but left tackle Alaric Jackson remains questionable after missing a couple of practices. Jackson's replacement, Zach Thomas, allowed two sacks last week.

Nacua is the No. 11 WR in RotoBaller's Week 4 PPR rankings.

According to RotoBaller's Andrew Lalama, Nacua should be given an upgrade based on his matchup in Week 4. The Colts subpar defensive backs have allowed a lot of passing yards the past two weeks.

Should I Start Puka Nacua in Week 4 Fantasy Football?

Nacua has finished as a top-10 WR in two of his three games. Even when he had a "let down" game of sorts, he was still viable as a WR3 or flex. As such, Nacua should be considered a weekly "must-start" every week unless he faces a particularly tough matchup.

The Colts defense, however, is not particularly tough. The Colts allow the tenth-most passing yards of any team in the league. They are allowing the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing WRs. Last week, Ravens WR Zay Flowers finished as the WR35 against the Colts.

Puka Nacua is definitely worth a spot in your top two or three WR slots or the flex spot.
