Should I Start Puka Nacua in Week 3? WR Fantasy Football Rankings Analysis

Puka Nacua - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

In the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Rams drafted wide receiver Puka Nacua. Coming out of Brigham Young, there were fewer expectations for Nacua heading into his rookie season, but he has surprised everyone.

With Cooper Kupp sidelined to start the season due to a hamstring injury, Pacua has transitioned into a dependable target for Matthew Stafford. After two games into the season, the 23-year-old receiver is ranked #8 among the players in his position when it comes to total points recorded in PPR leagues.

Does his exceptional start to his NFL career result in him deserving a spot to start on your Week 3 fantasy football teams? Let's take a look.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2024:

Puka Nacua Fantasy Football Outlook

In two games this season, Puka Nacua has been targeted 35 times. He has recorded 25 receptions for 266 yards and is off to a historic start to his career.

With Cooper Kupp still out and Matthew Stafford showing trust in him, Nacua is expected to continue having great performances. The Rams will face the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 3, and the AFC North team hasn't been good this year.

Stafford has the capability of overcoming the Bengals' defense, and if he plays well, then Nacua will surely record a good amount of points.

Puka Nacua Wide Receiver Rankings Analysis

Ahead of Week 3, Puka Nacua is ranked #28 by the RotoBaller staff. His continuous increase in production has resulted in high demand for the rookie wide receiver. With a big week ahead of him, Nacua can prove to everyone that his first two weeks were not a fluke, and he can become a star in the NFL.

Should I Start Puka Nacua In Week 3 Fantasy Football?

With how he has played so far in the first two weeks, Puka Nacua deserves to start on your fantasy football team. He will receive multiple targets from Stafford, and Sean McVay will make sure his usage remains high.

Going against a pretty good San Francisco 49ers defense in Week 2, Nacua ended up with 15 receptions for 147 yards on 20 targets. He is confident going into Week 3 and is in a great spot to record the first touchdown of his NFL career.
