Mike Williams Fantasy Football Outlook
Following a disappointing Week 1, the seventh-year veteran got back on track, earning 13 targets on a whopping 33% target share in Week 2 against the Titans. Despite these wonderful metrics, he was unable to find the end zone and has yet to produce a monster fantasy week. On the season, Williams has a 25% target share and 2.10 Yards Per Route Run (YPRR), which would have been top 24 in the 2022 season.
The Clemson product is earning more targets than ever in his career and is primed to have an impactful week soon. Since he has yet to score, he remains a great buy-low target in redraft leagues.
Mike Williams Wide Receiver Rankings Analysis
Big Mike enters Week 3 as the WR18 in RotoBaller's PPR staff ranks, a locked-in WR2 for your fantasy team.
Projecting around 10 targets at a modest 12 yards per reception places him at a 7/84 stat line and 15 fantasy points without a touchdown. This week's game against the Vikings has a total of 54, the highest on the slate. More projected scoring means more projected pass attempts leading to more opportunities for Williams to make a splash.
Should I Start Mike Williams In Week 3 Fantasy Football?
Yes! As mentioned previously, this game should be a high-scoring shootout with plenty of opportunities coming to the Chargers' WRs. Williams is a locked-in WR2 with WR1 upside this week.
