What Did Jordan Addison Do In Week 3?
Rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison caught touchdown passes in his first two NFL games, but the USC product failed to find the end zone last weekend against the Chargers. Still, he saw a season high in targets, as the ball came his way eight times. Addison caught six of those passes for 52 yards. He also played 71% of the Vikings' offense snaps, his most of the season.
Jordan Addison Wide Receiver Rankings Analysis
Addison is the No. 36 WR in RotoBaller's Week 4 PPR rankings.
Player | Position Rank | Overall Rank | Tier |
---|---|---|---|
Jordan Addison | 36 | 65 | 5 |
This makes him a low-end WR3 play this week according to RotoBaller's rankings team. He is trending down this week vs. where he was in Week 3's rankings.
Should I Start Jordan Addison In Week 4 Fantasy Football?
Justin Jefferson is the clear No. 1 wide receiver for the Vikings, while Addison is competing with K.J. Osborn for the No. 2 role. In Week 3, Addison was targeted five more times than Osborn, but Osborn was on the field for 18 more snaps. There's definitely some concern there. Even if Osborn isn't as productive as Addison, his presence limits the upside for the rookie.
This week's matchup is tough as well. The Panthers have allowed 396 receiving yards to the wide receiver position, the sixth-fewest in the NFL. They've also allowed the fourth-fewest fantasy points to the position.
Addison's talent gives him upside, but he's just barely inside the top 40 options at wide receiver. Fantasy managers might want to consider benching Addison in Week 4 if they have a player with a higher floor on their roster.
