Javonte Williams Fantasy Football Outlook
Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams saw his most usage of the season in Week 8 against the Kansas City Chiefs, with the third-year running back toting the rock 27 times. He was also targeted three times. He ended the game with 85 rushing yards and 13 receiving yards and a touchdown.
This now marks two straight games where Williams has set a new season-high in rushing attempts. It appears that he's recovered from the ACL tear that ended his 2022 season early.
Williams also played 63% of the team's snaps in that Week 8 contest, also his most of the season. Coming off a bye week, Williams should be expected to dominate the touches again this week, especially considering that last game, Samaje Perine and Jaleel McLaughlin combined for just five carries.
Should I Start Javonte Williams in Week 10?
It's clear heading into Monday night's game against the Buffalo Bills that Javonte Williams is locked in as the primary running back for the Denver Broncos.
Fantasy managers have likely already locked Williams into their lineups this week, as he rates as a solid RB2 option, but what about players in DFS contests? Should they trust Javonte Williams on Monday night?
Because of his expected volume, Williams is a strong DFS play in this game. He projects to be the top running back in the game for either team and is coming off his highest number of carries of the season. He hasn't been the most efficient back this season, but he's had at least 42 yards in every full game he's played, minus the Bears game where he exited early with an injury.
