James Robinson was about to be one of the most-dropped players in fantasy football following the goose egg he laid in Week 7. Robinson scored less than seven points for the fourth-consecutive game and failed to touch the ball in his last game with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
James Robinson's fantasy outlook underwent a colossal change after he was traded to the New York Jets on Monday night. The Jets swindled the third-year running back from the Jaguars following Breece Hall's season-ending ACL injury.
Should we start James Robinson in his Jets debut? What is Robinson's fantasy football outlook post-trade?

Should I Start James Robinson in Week 8 Fantasy Football?
James Robinson is optimistic about his new opportunity in New York, but his involvement this week against the New England Patriots will be limited. Head coach Robert Saleh admires Robinsons's downhill, one-cut style of running, but stated the Jets will "take it slow" with their new back.
Michael Carter takes over the lead-back role following Breece Hall's injury. Carter was on the field for 73% of the plays this past week and led New York in receiving yards (45) and rush attempts (13). Ty Johnson played his most snaps since Week 2 in relief for the injured Hall.
Zonovan Knight was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of Week 8's divisional showdown. Knight's move would foreshadow a small workload for James Robinson if he were to suit up against the Patriots. Robinson is unlikely to command more opportunities than fellow teammates Michael Carter and Ty Johnson and thus is a risky start in Week 8 against the Patriots.
What Is James Robinson's Fantasy Football Outlook Post-Trade?
There is enough opportunity for James Robinson and Michael Carter to remain relevant in fantasy football. The New York Jets running backs have combined for the sixth-most fantasy points among backfields.
Carter is well-positioned to take the lead role of the backfield following Breece Hall's injury. Carter's receiving forte and familiarity with New York's offense will supply him with the majority of opportunities until Robinson is caught up.
Robert Saleh described Robinson as a "really, really good complement to what Ty Johnson and Michael Carter bring to the table." Robinson's hard running will have an integral role in New York. Once he is settled into the offense, both Robinson and Carter will be viable flex options for the remainder of the season.
