With the Las Vegas Raiders making a change at head coach and quarterback entering this week's contest against the New York Giants, it's time to wonder how every player on the team's role might change.
That includes wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, who has caught 38 passes for 404 yards and five touchdowns this season. Is he worth starting in Week 9?
Read on for analysis of Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers heading into Week 9 of the 2023 NFL season.

Jakobi Meyers Fantasy Football Outlook
Last week against the Detroit Lions, Jakobi Meyers had his fewest targets of the season, as the ball came his way just once. He caught it for a 19-yard gain. That ended a three-game streak of Meyers finishing with at least 50 receiving yards.
This week, Aidan O'Connell gets the start at QB. How did Jakobi Meyers fare in O'Connell's first NFL start?
Earlier this season against the Chargers, Meyers was targeted four times, which was his lowest target game of the season at the time. He caught two passes for 33 yards.
Should I Start Jakobi Meyers in Week 9?
With O'Connell under center, there's a good chance that Jakobi Meyers sees less usage than fantasy managers are used to seeing from the former New England Patriots wide receiver.
O'Connell has shown in his limited action that he prefers to get the football to Davante Adams. If that's the case again this week, Jakobi Meyers loses a good bit of his fantasy appeal.
Add in that Meyers is coming off of his worst game of the season last week against the Detroit Lions and his fantasy stock is at its lowest point of the season. Meyers should be viewed as a WR4/5 play this week. While his five touchdown receptions this year show that he can make an impact, the quarterback change is a little too much. The safe move is to bench Meyers until we have a better idea of his usage with O'Connell.
