Dorian Thompson-Robinson Fantasy Football Outlook
Dorian Thompson-Robinson had a strong senior season at UCLA, throwing for 3,169 yards and 27 touchdowns while also adding 645 rushing yards and 12 scores. He looked good enough in the preseason to earn the backup job for the Cleveland Browns.
In Week 4, Dorian Thompson-Robinson was forced into the starting lineup because of an injury to Watson. It wasn't a great showing for the rookie against the Baltimore Ravens. He was 19-for-36 for 121 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions. He also added four carries for 24 yards and fumbled once.
The Browns ended up starting P.J. Walker in the next two contests that Watson missed, but after Walker struggled as well, Cleveland is choosing to go with Dorian Thompson-Robinson in Week 11.
Should I Start Dorian Thompson-Robinson in Week 11?
Dorian Thompson-Robinson really struggled in his first NFL start, completing just 52.8% of his pass attempts and getting picked off three times.
This week's game against the Steelers won't be an easy one either. Watson was 22-for-40 for 235 yards with a touchdown and a pick when the two teams met earlier this season and there's not a lot of reasons to expect Dorian Thompson-Robinson to perform better in Week 11.
Dorian Thompson-Robinson is an intriguing prospect with a good mix of arm strength and athleticism, but fantasy managers in most formats have no real reason to play him ahead of a tough matchup in Week 11. If you're in a superflex league and don't have a second QB to play because of injuries and bye weeks, there's some upside here, but Dorian Thompson-Robinson doesn't have a great fantasy outlook this week.
