A reliable part of the Atlanta Falcons' passing attack has been Darnell Mooney, but his matchup in Week 11 is far from ideal.
The 27-year-old boasts a solid 22.4% target share in the Falcons' offense and has made his mark with consistent volume, especially in the red zone, where he has gained four targets in his last four games.
However, this week, he faces a tough Denver Broncos defense that has allowed the third-fewest fantasy points per game to wide receivers, making this a challenging matchup for the wideout.

Darnell Mooney Fantasy Football Outlook
Mooney performed superbly in Week 10, catching five of his 10 targets for 96 yards in the Falcons' 20-17 loss to the New Orleans Saints. This marked the fifth time Mooney has hit 86 receiving yards this season.
Despite his solid numbers, his ceiling remains capped against the Broncos. Denver's pass defense has been stingy, conceding just six receiving touchdowns to wideouts all season. Mooney has been effective in his role but has only surpassed 100 receiving yards once this year. Against the Broncos' defense, it will be a challenging task for him to break through.

With 684 receiving yards and five touchdowns to his name, the Tulane product has steadily contributed to the Falcons this season. However, given Denver's ability to limit wide receiver production, he may struggle to put up the fantasy numbers you want from a WR2.
While he is still a solid option, particularly with his consistent target volume, his upside is limited in Week 11. Moreover, Mooney is currently dealing with an Achilles injury, which may impact his performance.
He was limited at practice on Thursday, so be sure to monitor his status leading up to Sunday's game against the Broncos.
Should I Start Darnell Mooney in Week 11?
Despite the tough matchup and injury concerns, Mooney should still be considered a mid-tier WR2 or flex option in Week 11. He has been a vital part of the Falcons' passing game.

While his ceiling may not be as high against Denver, his consistent target share and red zone involvement provide a solid floor. You likely cannot afford to bench him if you are thin at wide receiver.
Manage expectations, as his production might be limited due to the tough matchup and his injury concerns. Keep a close eye on his status ahead of game day to ensure he is active, and be prepared to pivot if necessary.
