Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp has had a rough two-game stretch and carries some risk heading into the fantasy championships.
Over his past two games, the veteran wideout caught just three total passes for a mere 24 yards.
So, what is Kupp's fantasy football outlook moving forward? Should you start him in Week 17?

Cooper Kupp Fantasy Football Outlook
After Kupp returned from his four-game absence due to a high-ankle sprain he suffered in Week 2, Kupp immediately returned to his WR1 status. During Weeks 8 through 14, Kupp averaged a strong 18.0 PPR points per game and saw a hefty 9.1 targets per game. During this span, he averaged 72.9 yards per game and found the back of the end zone five times (over seven games).

During the season-opener, Kupp saw an incredible 21 targets and saw six the following week before suffering the ankle injury.
However, over the past two games, the 31-year-old has seen six total targets (three in each game) and has only been able to bring in three of them in total. During Week 15, he was held off the scoresheet entirely.
However, in these two games, he faced two defensive units that were in the top three in PPR points allowed to opposing wideouts.
Should I Start Cooper Kupp in Week 17?
This weekend, Kupp will face the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday evening. The Cardinals have allowed the 16th-most PPR points to opposing wideouts this season. While this matchup is not overly positive, it is a much better opportunity for Kupp to break out of his slump, especially after facing two top-3 defensive units.
During his previous seven-game stretch (Weeks 8 through 14) Kupp averaged 18.0 PPR points and faced four secondaries that were within the top-10 in regards to PPR points allowed to opposing wide receivers.

Given that Kupp performed well in these settings, fantasy managers should view him as a high-end flex option in PPR formats and a mid-tier flex option in standard leagues despite his recent struggles. In addition, Kupp should be in a good position to bounce back, given the hefty 47.5-point total projected for this NFC West divisional tilt.
