If you hear the word "committee," there are two instances in sports when that is considered a bad thing. One is when your favorite baseball team says they are applying a closer-by-committee approach in their bullpen. The other is when an NFL team's head coach declares a particular running back as part of a committee.
Zonovan Knight, a product of NC State, was signed by the New York Jets after the 2022 NFL Draft as an undrafted free agent. In Week 12 against the Chicago Bears, he made his debut, and it was a good one. But the caveat was that he was part of head coach Robert Saleh's dreaded "backfield by committee."
Did Knight separate himself enough to be the lead dog in New York? Should you pick him up in fantasy leagues after his Week 13 showing?

How Did Zonovan Knight Do in Week 13?
After an impressive NFL debut in Week 12 against the Chicago Bears in which Knight rushed for 69 yards, three receptions, 34 receiving yards, and totaled 13.3 fantasy points, he followed it up this Sunday with an even better performance.
Leading the backfield, Knight rushed 15 times for 90 yards, adding five receptions for 28 yards and totaling 16.8 fantasy points in the Jets' Week 13 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
Highlighted by a 48-yard scamper late in the game, the New York running back was an integral part of the team's offense approach, also contributing in the passing game as he was targeted five times.
Are There Any Worrying Signs With Zonovan Knight In Week 14?
The only thing of concern for Knight owners or potential managers thinking of grabbing him off the waiver wire is that he isn't the only member of the backfield.
The dreaded running back merry-go-round in New York might be the one thing keeping him from true fantasy greatness. All other signs, granted in a limited sample time, point towards a true impact fantasy player. The numbers are not the only thing noticeable, as the eye test also shows this kid is a playmaker and someone who can impact your fantasy roster if given the keys.
Should I Pickup Zonovan Knight Off the Waiver Wire in Fantasy Football?
The running back position has been decimated by injuries in 2022. Odds are you are one of many fantasy owners looking to find someone to slot in as the fantasy playoffs approach.
If that's the case and Saleh decides to let Knight run the show (no pun intended), the Jets have a very favorable fantasy playoff schedule (Detroit, Jacksonville, Seattle). Monitor the situation, and grab Knight immediately if he's available.
