Should I Pickup Zay Jones For Week 16?
Over the past four weeks, the veteran is the WR4, averaging 18.6 fantasy points per game. He scored 17.7 or more fantasy points three times, including 31.9 fantasy points yesterday in the win over the Dallas Cowboys.
Jones caught six of eight targets for 109 receiving yards and three touchdowns against Dallas. The three touchdowns were one more than his season total entering the contest.
The veteran is rostered in just over 70% of ESPN leagues. However, fantasy players should make Jones their top waiver wire claim this week if he is available.
What Other Wide Receivers Should I Consider Adding For Week 16?
Another wide receiver fantasy players should consider adding off the waiver wire is Russell Gage. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver is available in over 75% of ESPN leagues.
Over the past two weeks, the former Atlanta Falcon has totaled 10 receptions on 14 targets for 71 receiving yards and three touchdowns, scoring 30.1 fantasy points during that span.
Last week the veteran wide receiver had 21.9 fantasy points and two receiving touchdowns, both season-highs.
Furthermore, he played well when given targets. In the five games with five or more targets this season, Gage has averaged 11.4 fantasy points per game. Meanwhile, the veteran has a solid fantasy matchup in Week 16.
The Arizona Cardinals have surrendered 26.2 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season, about the league average. They have also given up 11 touchdowns to the position this year.
Another solid option is Terrace Marshall Jr. The second-year receiver is available in over 90% of ESPN leagues. He has played well since the team traded away Robbie Anderson, averaging 4.1 targets and 6.5 fantasy points per contest.
In Week 16, he faces the Detroit Lions. They have surrendered 33.3 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season, one of the highest averages in the NFL.
