The Los Angeles Rams have had a 2022 season they'd like to forget. However, their tight end, Tyler Higbee, has suddenly become a spark for a team that has otherwise called it quits.
The veteran is one of the few offensive weapons left in Los Angeles, and he is doing everything he can to finish the season strong. He was a production machine on Sunday against the Broncos and will look to continue the momentum in Week 17.
Is this a sign of things to come for Higbee? Should you pick him up in fantasy leagues after his Week 16 showing?

What Did Tyler Higbee Do In Week 16 Fantasy Football?
Higbee, 29, has played in 93 regular-season games during his seven-year career, recording 234 receptions for 2,487 yards and 17 touchdowns.
His 2022 season has been a rollercoaster ride. He started off hot, cooled off in the middle, and is now finishing with a strong kick. On Sunday, in the team's 51-14 annihilation of Denver, he had his best game of the year.
He had nine receptions for 94 yards and two touchdowns in the blowout and showed flashes of the player he was earlier in the season.
Were There Any Worrying Signs With Tyler Higbee In Week 16?
How can you not love what we've seen from the former Western Kentucky University standout lately? Higbee was a target monster on Sunday, as new Rams quarterback Baker Mayfield looked his way 11 times.
The 6' 6'' tight end led the entire NFL in target share on Sunday at 39%, and that was due to the sudden chemistry he has developed with Mayfield. During his last two games with the former Cleveland Browns quarterback, Higbee has scored touchdowns in back-to-back games and has found the end zone three times. Before Week 15, he hadn't scored the entire season.
It has become crystal clear that the Mayfield/Higbee connection is real, and has brought fantasy life back to managers starving for production from the tight-end position.
Should I Pickup Tyler Higbee Off the Waiver Wire In Fantasy Football?
Are you an owner of Travis Kelce, T.J. Hockenson, George Kittle, or Evan Engram? If the answer is no, then don't walk to the waiver wire, run.
If you were clever enough to start Higbee on Sunday, you were rewarded with a wonderful Christmas present.
If he wasn't on your roster, and you are lucky enough to grab him off waivers this week, you will likely be gifted similar happiness this weekend. In Week 17, on New Year's Day, the Rams face a vulnerable Chargers defense allowing 24.3 points per game. So ring in 2023 with targets, receptions, perhaps a touchdown, and maybe even a fantasy championship with Higbee as your starting TE.
